Money and Candy Leis

My nephew was soon to be baptized and we wanted to get him a lei or 2.  For those that know my son Ethan he is very into paper folding . . . money, church programs, wrappers. . . you name it! Most of this paper folding is done during sacrament at church-we always come home with something whether its a tank, a box, a ninja star etc. . . Sometime last year we saw a Money Lei making book @ Costco and have wanted to make one ever since! I am also grateful for the internet and all the neat video tutorials that are out there. will post the one we used soon. Here are my awesome helpers Liz and her friend Kayla. They really enjoyed it!
Used some of Bettis little elastics to hold the money together, and for convenience bought a pre-made candy lei from the Party store at Maui Mall. We also tried out some flowers using scrapbook paper-pretty cute, so many possibilities!

My nephew also got Baptized on St. Patricks day, so we wanted to make him a Lucky Irish lei. Got out our saran wrap, and printed up a few tags. . .

added some shamrock chocolates, some paper straws, and tied em up with ribbon. . .

Lucky day and leis indeed!! I mean who doesn't want money and chocolate?
