Makawao Forest Hike/Picnic/Egg Hunt

I Love this pic my brother Lance took of my Liz

This is such a great family activity! Look at these girls running the trails. This forest is Gorgeous with its' wide paths, tall trees, shrubbery, lava tubes, mushrooms, old logs. One of our favorite spots.  I can't believe I didnt even know it existed until we moved back a few years ago.

Last year our friend Julie Bowers set up and Egg Hunt/Picnic and we all loved it. This year she is on a different island, so I thought we could still at least go on a hike and have a picnic. I FB, texted, called everyone I knew and invited them out. It was a great turnout and I think all enjoyed it!

LUNCHTIME

Little Betti about to get some eggs. My sweet friend Danette told me the night before that she wanted to go up early and hide some eggs for all the kids. . . i wasnt planning on it bc this was put together just a few days earlier. I said SURE! and picked up some bags since it was going to be a surprise and no one would have their baskets. It turned out "Eggscellent!!!"

Probably the highlight of the day!!

We even got some baseball in . . .

and check out this most amazing teeter-totter!

These cuties could've stayed here all day!!

Heading back to the car-it was a little chilly at first, but then ended up being perfect-not too hot, not to cold!

Ethan and Uncle Lance-can't wait to come back next year-gotta keep this tradition going!!
