Leena's first time in a carrier-she loved it! She got to look out and be bounced. (2 of her favorite things) This Forest Reserve is one of the most beautiful places on Maui-tall tall trees, wide paths, greenery and foliage, trails to caves, wild mushrooms growing on logs (we didnt see them this time) etc. . .We actually had an easter egg hunt and picnic here too, which I will post soon. It was great to see the kids finding sticks along the way and using them as canes, (reminded me of being a kid) and when we were ending our hike they had some stick fights too. Sweet Leena-bug got a nap in.
If you want to see the caves you have to walk down some switch back trails that are very narrow and kinda steep-(not really for toddlers.) but they are so cool!-there are a few caves you can go inside of and peek your head out the other end. What a great hike! . . . and perfect family activity. We love being outside and experiencing nature. This is definitely the place to do it :0)
