| Mama's Fish House is said to be the first Fresh Fish Restaurant on Maui. It has been around since 1973 started by the Christenson family. It's a casual, yet beautiful place with a gorgeous ocean view and wonderful ambience of Aloha. There are neat wooden benches, art work, japanese glass floats hanging from the ceiling and celebrity photos with their autographs. Kind of pricey, but if you go at lunch time and get a salad or a dessert it's not too shabby. Compliments from the chef are a fresh bisque (we had tomato ginger soup this time) and a cute little loaf of honeywheat poppyseed bread. After we are done eating we like to walk down to the beach, & check out the tidepools etc. . .we wanted to swim, but the kids were sunburned from the May Day the day before. I like these pix Liz took of me and Leena. . . especially because last year she was still in my tummy! |
