Liz's Dance Performance

This is the 2nd year we've gone to the Spring Extravaganza, and every time I find myself in tears over the talent, music, and beauty of the dancing in some of the performances. I miss my dancing days-i need to go see a chiropractor before I do any kinda dancing!! ha ha! I'd love to take a class someday. On the bottom right picture above, Liz and her friend got to present Leis to all the Dance Instructors-perfect job for Liz!

This year we bought you some roses, hope it made you feel like a million bucks!! You deserve it!!

Last year Liz took Hip-Hop with MAPA (Maui Academy of Performing Arts), this year she did Dance Technique which entails a combination of jazz and ballet moves. SHe loved  her teacher Miss Rebecca as everyone does. She choreographs around 1/2 of the dance routines. She's amazing!! and Liz you did an AMAZING job! WE L♥VE watching you dance!! You got to dance to "If my friends could see me now" from the musical Sweet Charity.

Had to take a picture of your "curly" hair, it only took 20 minutes. ha ha! we love our curling iron from the mall huh? and Miss Ella wanted to dress up too-Thought your polka dot dress would compliment Liz's, & we put your hair up and some fun make-up on-isn't bright red stage lipstick the best?

Ella belles brought her puppy princess Zeus, (it's a girl) for the long day ahead of us, and was a trooper hangin out all day through rehearsal, break time ,performance time etc. . .we got there at 9:00am full make-up and costume, and  watched until Liz's class went, had lunch with the boys and Betti, did some window shopping, See's sampling at the mall, and then back to the MACC (Maui Arts & Cultural Center) to retouch your make up, switch into your extra pair of nylons bc the other pair got a snag, ready for call time backstage at 2:00pm. While we waited to get our seats we took a few pix with your cute friend Vania who was doing a hip-hop routine. Our seats were on the highest balcony this year in the front row-it was pretty high, but fun too, and in true classic form Ella, you dozed off for an afternoon nap during the performance. I could've fallen asleep too, not bc the dances were not incredible or anything, but it was a quite exhausting full day! After the performance we went and ate at our favorite Thai place Saengs. Liz you were Amazing babe-glad we could share such a fun day with you!!
