I ♥ Mustaches!!

2 of my friends were having a baby shower and I knew I wanted to make something with mustaches on 'em. At first I asked my brother Lance (who lives on Oahu) if he could make me some using his t shirt transfer machine, but we didn't have enough time, and couldn't find onesies. Next I tried to paint some onto a onesie which was ok, but it was going to be really challenging to write their last names freehand, without any stencils. Then I thought about iron ons- but knew that in Maui that would be pretty hard to find. By this time I had 1 day left, so I bought some cute burp-cloths at the Designing Wahine Emporium at the Makawao shops as a back-up. Still kinda bummed that I wasn't gonna see my mustache onesies come to pass, I suddenly remembered my sister in LA used to give out onesies as gifts-I texted her and asked her if she preferred paintin on onesies or iron ons and YAY! . . . she told me about these iron on transfer sheets that you print out onto 8 1/2 x 11 sheets. I told her a had a picture of what design I was trying to do, and she said to send it to her through a text and she would whip something up using  Adobe Photoshop. She emailed me a few minutes later with the images, I got on the phone and called 4 or 5 different places to see if they had The Avery Brand Dark Fabric Transfer sheets and last but not least Office Max had some in a 5 pack. I went down to buy some, as well as old navy for some shirts with stripes- I love stripes for these, and voila I DID it!! I couldn't stop looking at how cute they were. Thanks sis!!

I asked my sis to send me multiple sizes, for future projects and I just love em!! Made some more onesies for my other cousin who just had a baby, and sent a few extra to my 2 friends who had the baby shower, and my other friend who lives in UT that saw them on my Instagram and wondered where I got them. Liz's friends at school had some mustache duct tape, and she was very happy when she found some @ Walmart to cover her school binder with. 2012 is definitely the year of the Stache!!
