Poi Balls-not the kind you eat :0)
Fun R.S activity. . .we made these so we can perform at our upcoming R.S. birthday party in March. It took some time, but it was well worth it. We took yarn and "braided" it through a piece of cardboard that had a series of steps we had to follow. Then we tied the yarn around some newspaper, wrapped that with toilet paper, glass beads (for added weight) fabric and plastic and voila. . .Back in the day when I worked as a greeter at the Polynesian Cultural Center, me and my friends got to try these out a little because they were part of our Maori, New Zealand attire. Learned a few things, but there is so much more to learn. Can't wait!!
