Strawberry-Banana Granola Parfait for breakfast

Who needs Mcdonalds $1 parfaits? or Costcos Yoplait smoothie mix? Not I or we Jame's anymore. . .last week Nigella Lawson from the Cooking Channel made a Rasberry Smoothie parfait, and I felt inspired because I have been trying to think of new Breakfast ideas for my family.-(my Goal has been to make a homemade breakfast at least 3-4 times a week-the rest of the days cereal, eggos, or toaster streudels will suffice). . .I ♥'d everything she put inside of hers, except I didn't like the high $$$price for GREEK yogurt-(even though it was super thick, creamy & delicious) I couldn't bring myself to spend $8 on a small container, so we settled for Lucerne Vanilla for $3.49-it does the job. Kids wanted strawberries and bananas instead of rasberries. So . . .Miss Ella crushed the granola, Liz sliced some bananas, and I blended some frozen strawberries with a little bit of milk and a little bit of powdered sugar (to your liking)-that was it! (powdered sugar was a new idea to me-or u could use honey or sugar) Start layering-smoothie, yogurt, banana and granola, and smoothie, yogurt, granola. If you feel fancy-you could add a dollop of whip-cream with a whole strawberry right on top. I found 10 parfait glasses at a consignment shop for about a buck each-Love them! My Liz even made ravioli last night and put it in a glass with a scoop of cottage cheese on top-tasted like lasagna and was fun to eat too. Hope you try this-all kinds of possibilities for combination's & of course just cut up fruit will do too without the smoothie.
