drizzle melted white chocolate, sprinkles or nuts.
2 cartons strawberries (washed & dried well)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 Tbs. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 Tbs. shortening
Rinse strawberries and let dry. Butter a plate or sheet pan. Set aside. In a heavy saucepan combine sweetened condensed milk and butter. Cook on medium-low heat, stirring constantly until you can see the mixture thicken and pull away from the bottom of the pan (12-15 minutes), or until the temperature reaches 115 –(soft ball stage). Pour onto buttered plate and let cool completely. (30-45 minutes). Butter your hands slightly to form little balls, and place on another buttered plate. Mold balls around each strawberry, or roll balls in chocolate. In a bowl, melt chocolate chips and shortening in the microwave for 1-2 minutes until melted. Dip strawberries or balls in chocolate, place on waxed paper and refrigerate for 1 hour. Enjoy!
