Celebrating St. Patricks Day

Always wanted to make a stack of pancakes like they did in the 50's sitcoms-so purtiful!! and I love Betti in this pic! From this angle, these pancakes looked so much larger than they really were. We  had these on St. Patricks day for breakfast, and then our lunch on Sunday bc we had a busy saturday.

Probably one of my favorite looking cookies that I ever made-each step I just kept hoping and hoping they would turn out, and they actually did! I made some frosting and put it on one and put another on top like a sandwich mmm mmm good! inspired here: I loved these when I first saw them and I ended up ordering the Ateco food coloring like she used, off of amazon.com bc the colors are so vibrant-can't wait to get them in the mail!
Top o' the mornin to ya! Saw a picture of some hats and thought how quick it would be to make these with marshmallows and some kind of cookie-I already had some black frosting and just needed a buckle part-we were at the mall and i thought these Hello Kitty gums would work perfect. We all sat down to make these together, but the chocolate was not cooperating-too hot and too thick. Next time I'm going to microwave the chocolate on the defrost mode (i tried it a few days later and it worked great) THese tasted really yummy!

Saw these online and knew I wanted to make some. . . inspired here: It says "You're my Pot o' Gold at the end of the Rainbow." Loved the colors with the licorice, but none of us liked the way they tasted. Whats up with that? Ha ha! at least we loved the chocolate coins from See's. The bags are Pretzel bags from Ben Franklin craft store-perfect size and length for these.

Inspired here: love the rainbow look- the girls had fun making these-Ethan even made one at the very end.

Thought I'd try to make a traditional Irish dish-Corned beef with cabbage-yum and so easy-got the corn beef from Costco which included the seasonings-stuck it in the crock-pot, covering it fully with water the day before for 10 1/2 hours on low, then stuck it in the fridge. The next day I cut up potatoes, carrots and cabbage and stuck them in the crock-pot, making sure the cabbage was stacked on top. I added enough of the reserved stock from the meat to cover most of the veggies and cooked on high for 4 hours. When they were cooked we shredded up the meat and placed it in the crock-pot til it was heated through-SO EASY!!  Everyone liked the cornbeef except for our Liz-not surprising though!
I have been wanting to order these paper straws for some time now-and found an excuse to do so-got them from sugardiva.com. Thought they would look very festive with Henry Weinhards Orange cream soda.

Daddy couldn't wait to dig in!
                                                          Love my LUCKY CHARMS!!
